Trumpeter and composer Byron Wallen is one of those consistently good British musicians who has not yet broken through as a headliner. The exchange of ideas and sounds makes for a subtle and unusual world-jazz collaboration, both ancient and contemporary, that draws on dub, funk and swing rhythms.
