In 1983, Brooke Parrott was born in the magical land of Eugene, Oregon. When she was six years old, her twin brother was sent to piano lessons, but after throwing a tantrum, she was sent instead. Little did her parents know that she would be taking lessons for the next 18 years. After graduating from high school, Brooke moved to Seattle, Washington and passed two years drinking coffee, playing piano, and writing songs. Before she knew it, her time in the rainy city was over and Brooke was headed east to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston on scholarship. At Berklee, Brooke became enamored with the thriving creative atmosphere, and learned how to control her songwriting in a way that allowed her to explore her strengths and push herself in new directions. There her passion for using music to impact social issues took form in the Student Musicians Against AIDS Club that she founded at Berklee, which she used as a vehicle to raise money and awareness for deserving AIDS organizations all over the world. Parrott's americana pop sound draws from influences such as Fiona Apple, Paul Simon, and Brandi Carlile, and she continues to distinguish herself from the pack with her unusual singing voice and introspective lyrics. In May 2008 she released her debut album, “Another City”, on Ten ‘til Six Records. She is currently residing in London, but her heart is still in Eugene.

Kent-born Londoner Jon Wright has been writing songs for his fledgling rock band "23 Satellites" and recording such arrangements with the help of friends and computers. Current Jon is performing these songs acoustically

some think she is a pixie, some a singer songwriter, others say shes a strange quiet gal..a lost soul, a jumping bean, a silly dag, and some even say shes just a frog dressed in human skin!
the truth is im all of the above haha!
im just someone who loves music. i live, breathe and give birth to it. ive been writing music since the age of 16, self taught guitarist and still learning more every single day. there are a thousand melodies running through my head and i use the guitar as my outlet, my release to get them out. all words and music come rolling out without a seconds thought, and most of the time what i say and write doesnt really make sense till some time has past. other people seem to understand my music better than i do so that makes me happy. i could play guitar a whole day and not get bored. i believe that music is good for the soul. its all good no matter the form. its in the air we breathe, and if you just listen you will hear it blowing in the wind. there is something so magical about playing in time and in pure synch with other people, this is a feeling i love and can do all day and for the rest of my life.
i try to do as many gigs as possible and you will often find me roaming around the streets of london with a guitar or bass on my back, kazoo in my pocket and egg shaker in bag.
i have played to audiences ranging from 150 people, to just a cosy couple siting in the corner staring into eachothers eyes, to just some wooden bar stools and tables and bar staff. i have a double albums worth and more...of material as im constantly writing new songs, and am currently in the process of recording my first album. the songs on my player above are just rough and raw demos i have managed to record with the help of fantastic friends. the album is coming along well, its proving to be harder than i thought to capture that sound that is in my head...tis a pesky sound and im chasing it all over the shop with my pixie net and i will get it ^_^. im also always looking for cello players/ violin players to gig with so if you know any let me know. im also available to play at parties!, i love them and think its the perfect environment to play. i like relaxed places with an audience who just want to have a laugh. good vibes, good energy all round!.
